For over 37 years, COME Ministries has worked tirelessly to share the life-changing message of salvation with thousands of slum dwellers in India. Christmas celebrations offer a unique opportunity to spread this message, particularly to those living in spiritual darkness. These celebrations take place annually, typically from the first week of December through the third week, across major metro cities in all major cities of India, and occasionally spilling over into the fourth week.
During this time, COME Ministries reach out to the underserved, offering not only material gifts but also the transformative message of the Gospel. Our efforts during the Christmas season include providing gifts to the less fortunate, distributing the Gospel, and organizing sports and recreational activities to foster joy and zealous spirit. These events serve as a powerful reminder of God’s love and the true meaning of Christmas. Each year, we touch thousands of lives in challenging conditions. Through these outreach efforts, we help bring light into their lives, offering hope and love in the form of both spiritual and physical gifts.
The success of these programs is evident by the lives changed and the communities uplifted, reinforcing the true spirit of Christmas. COME Ministries’ Christmas programs are of five kinds:
- Christmas gifts to the poor (Christmas cake, Bible verse card, tract, etc.).
- Open street Gospel during Christmas seasons.
- Carol singing on the streets.
- Christmas get-together for families with dinner.
- Reaching the poor for Christ through sports.
